For us the new branding speaks of the mountain side, and pasture that we have here, as well as building on the olive branch theme of the first version. This for us is a sign of hospitality, something we try hard at here at losOlivos.
Below is the story of how this came about by Nick Clarke.
Finding the
right Olive Tree
The
recommendation of a friend, took me and my partner to the hacienda for the
first time this April. Coming out of the long wet, cold UK winter to spend a
week in the first sunshine and warmth of the Andalusian spring was a joyous
experience.
Over a glass
of wine one evening, chatting with Dani and Guy we got talking about the house
logo. Well to cut along story short I wanted to offer Dani and Guy some
thoughts about a change.
They shared
a document which outlined their vision of Los Olivos. It spoke about many of
the aspects I’d found so appealing. Peace, tranquillity, spiritual space,
sunshine and good food.
When I
considered the former branding, the boys had got an Olive branch in their but
it was a little lost, especially when the logo was used small. I developed some
visual ideas based around olives, olive trees and wine. The idea was to try and
encapsulate as many of the traits of the hacienda, visually as possible.
In the end Dani and Guy liked the one you see on the website and newsletter. A tree and
field that might also represent the mountainside Los Olivos commands.
I was
delighted that they have gone with the new look. I hope you like it and that in
some way it represents some of the aspects you recall about your last visit.
